Our high-end global retail client is looking for a creative, out of the box thinker who can bring produced content to life; visually. Your top three technical skills will be, Adobe suite, InDesign and Sketch Up, ideally in V-Ray.
You will be required to hit the ground running. Work autonomously alongside other teams to merchandise the product visually; in order to communicate display principles to our clients' stores and implement the summer / autumn ranges.
This is in the departments of Fresh food and plants. The ideal candidate will have a retail background which doesn't have to be specific in this area.
A little background on the day to day activities:
Our clients' current process with JDA planogram software is unsuitable for generating Flowers & Plants display guidance. So, they rely on Marketing resource to create visual advice for the seasonal/phase documents, using a tool called Sketch Up.
The candidate will be given a brief and using Sketch Up, design what the store will look like before it lands. Create images for store, product, props, VM layouts, store layouts. Ensuring effective time management is used, which is key for critical path deadlines to be met.
You will be a proactive team player with a positive mindset who is self-motivated, solution orientated and can show strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
You will be liaising with:
* Buying & Merchandising team - from senior Buyers / Merchandisers to Buyers & Merchandising Admin
* Marketing & in-house creative/production teams
* Logistics, IT & Finance
Skills Required:
* Sketch Up - Ideally V-ray (software).
* In Design
* Adobe Suite
* Ability to build from technical drawings.
* Advanced Microsoft Excel
* Effective time management skills
Desirable Skills:
* Broad Systems and Programme experience - Specific to retail and design
* Knowledge of using key buying and range planning programmes such as Editrack, SAP and PLM
* Experience or knowledge of working in agile frameworks (specifically Scrum)
Additional Information:
This will be a two staged interview. One interview requires a task to be completed, this is to show basic understanding of tools and experience. The ideal candidate will have a maximum of 2-week notice period due to the urgency of the project.
