Python Data Scientist Engineer - Python SQL - Investment Bank

Python Data engineer with hands on Python coding (and postgreSQL) Open source data visualisation tools (eg Kibana or similar) Understanding of data analytics tools with ideally global markets experience.

Looking for a Python Data Scientist/data engineer to work on a Front Office ecomms monitoring system (collusion, fraud etc) with large data sets that need to be managed, manipulated and transformed; to take charge and deliver key developments related to the employee and eCommunication data into the surveillance platform This will then Integrate with systems across the bank.

Responsibilities include:

Partner with senior business sponsors, platform supervision, compliance, and business management to develop a highly visible holistic supervisory and surveillance platform

Primary focus is on developing and enhance software solutions to meet business requirements such as eCom ingestion scripts and data management processes

Gather and document technical requirements, use cases and specifications

Design and implement a data strategy to support business use cases focused on multi-vector analysis using various natural language processing and machine learning techniques

Attend regular meetings and interface with internal and external teams related to the project

Work with the project PM and delivery manager to provide input on schedules and implementation best practises.

This will include working in agile mode very closely with the Business users, aiming for early deliveries of a maximum functionality, so that our very tight regulatory deadlines can be met.
