With a rich history dating back to 1923, our client is the South West's largest independent house builder. Now run by the third generation, they construct beautiful new homes that customers love.
They are now looking for an IT Systems Support Technician to join their Head Office in Torquay and provide technical support to their employees.
As an IT Systems Support Technician, you will:
- Primarily provide first line support to staff using production software, such as Coins or Asta Powerproject
- Liaise with external IT consultants and support engineers to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the IT software and hardware systems
- Strive to resolve technical issues as soon as possible and escalate problems when required
- Set up and maintain IT hardware and software for the business, as well as network infrastructure
- Ensure that licensing for all software is recorded and maintain an inventory of IT hardware and software
Interested? To be considered as an IT Systems Support Technician, the following would be advantageous:
- Previous experience with relational databases
- Experience with Python, JavaScript, SQL or Progress 4GL
- Great problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills
- A driving licence
Other titles for this role may include IT Support Technician, Technical Support Analyst, Helpdesk Support Technician, Service Desk Technician, Technical Support Advisor or 1st Line Support Technician.
