From the quirky charms of Covent Garden and Soho to the elegant grandeur of Knightsbridge, Westminster is a borough that brings together the absolute best of London. With over one million people coming to the area every day, we strive to deliver exceptional services to our residents, workers and visitors, so it is imperative that we put our customers needs first - and that is where you come in.
We are currently extending and enhancing our digital capabilities across a huge array of services. Within this challenge, you will take a lead in the design of both internal and external facing solutions being delivered by our forward-thinking IT team, ensuring that they truly reflect the needs of the customer. Conducting research into similar products in the same space and comparable industries, you will identify user experiences and turn these into comprehensive insights that will shape your design and prototype concepts. With every decision meeting accessibility standards, you will be able to confidently explain your evidence-led rationale to stakeholders.
This is a fast-paced challenge that will change on a daily basis. You will therefore have at least three years of user-centric specialist UX experience with a proven knowledge of agile and lean UX environments. With a track-record of designing high-quality interactive experiences, user interfaces and navigation, you will have a comprehensive understanding of Jira, Azure DevOps, Balsamiq, InVision or other design and prototyping tools. A team-player with great communication skills, you will enjoy solving problems and helping us push our capabilities to the next level.
