Job Description

Job Purpose

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to take a central role in the SG Digital Paddy Power Betfair team. You will be working alongside Product Managers, Development Managers, Programme and Project Managers, Software Architects, Analysts and Software Engineers, both internally and externally to shape the technology and vision of the team.

You will be skilled in defining and documenting both functional and non-functional requirements and in converting these into Agile user stories for use by all members of the software development and testing teams. You will be instrumental in driving work through the team. Your online gambling industry knowledge will provide a reference for all members of the team.

A 'can-do' attitude and flexible problem-solving skills will be pre-requisites.

Key Accountabilities

* Create business requirements and define user stories for use by Scrum teams comprising developers and QAs.

* Monitor and drive collaborative generation and acceptance of solutions.

* Engage with customers, analysts, technicians and product managers to define new functionality and document this in user stories.

* Assist the Project Manager and Customer in Sprint and Capacity planning

* Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with business and technical colleagues and customers in an appropriate manner and using a range of techniques.

* Provide online gambling industry knowledge and insights to the whole development team.

Key Responsibilities

* Contribute to the implementation of best practice in requirements documentation, use of user stories in Agile development and test-driven development.

* Motivating scrum teams with a business vision in order to link development to the broader product and company strategy.

* Acting as an Agile representative when required for scrum teams.

Qualifications

Knowledge & Experience

* Experience as a Senior BA in an online industry

* Substantial sportsbetting / trading experience within a gambling operator or online sportsbook provider

* Demonstrable experience of Agile development practices

* Strong managerial and leadership skills, driving change and handling difficult and complex technical requirements for a large programme of deliverables

* Strong multi-tasking and context switching abilities

* Demonstrable experience in defining and implementing complex IT functionality working in Agile environments, with a heavy emphasis on user stories and acceptance criteria.

* Ability to contribute as part of a senior management group leading the customer team

* Proven communication and presentation skills

* Dealing with change on a daily basis; must be comfortable both with internal and external factors driving this change

Technical skills of relevance:

Mandatory

* Experience in a fast-paced software development house in a BA roles with a proven track record of deploying to production environments

* Experience with Agile methodologies

* Substantial years sports betting / trading experience within a gambling operator or online sportsbook provider
