Infrastructure Engineer

An Infrastructure Engineer opportunity has become available in a leading investment banking vendor based in London.

The Role

As the Infrastructure Engineer, you will look at to help deploy and support all enterprise scale tools. You will be supporting vendor and open source products, and ensure they are usable in production.

The Infrastructure Engineer's position also involves advocacy of these products as well as a mind-set of continuous integration. You will also be the highest escalation point for issues; this can take the form of fixing build breaks. This is a truly hybrid position which will draw on a variety of different . This team looks over thousands of users, primarily made up of developers and being able to communicate with them is key.

Their systems sit on a Linux platform, and having a deep understanding of the platform is critical. You, as the Infrastructure Engineer, will be working with the application and authentication layers as well as work networking. There is also an element of automation and creating monitoring tools. While their main language for scripting is python, they are happy to consider candidates with exposure to any other scripting language also.
