Oundle School is a school like no other and, with a campus spread throughout the historic town of Oundle, we have an incredible range of buildings from Georgian townhouses with listed status to modern buildings housing cutting edge technology. With more than 100 buildings, there is plenty to keep our dedicated Buildings Department busy. The Architectural CAD Technician will join our passionate team here at Oundle School to support the Buildings Manager, Maintenance Manager and Project Surveyor as required.  You will be involved from the initial design to project completion, to include client liaison, team and site meetings to engage with construction professionals, producing designs/layouts and managing project files.  The role also includes organising and cataloguing our historic drawings, updating all Estate drawings, and surveying buildings to update layout changes. Applicants must have AutoCAD experience including at least 2 years' relevant CAD experience, in addition to an HNC/HND in an Architectural related discipline.  Excellent IT skills along with effective communication and listening techniques, knowledge of how the buildings and space is used and understanding the design process are essential, as is awareness of technical regulations and requirements.  Experience of working in a property maintenance area and/or a customer-facing role would be an advantage.
