I have a position for an Electrical Project Engineer in Hampshire.

Length: 12 months rolling contract

Rate: £280-£300 Per Day (Negotiable)

Location: Hampshire (On-site role)

Electrical Project Engineer: A leading process plant are seeking a Project Manager to assist with several planned capex projects. You will report to the Project Engineering Manager and will have direct responsibility for planning and delivering engineering projects. Example projects include integration of new, upgraded machinery, control systems upgrades and pipe projects.

Requirements:

Must have experience in the process environment as projects are very fast paced (example industries include: FMCG, Pharma, Manufacturing, Chemical). Previous experience for technical delivery of projects and/or technical work packages of adequate size and complexity. Experience in LV systems typically 415v 3phase power distribution and switch gear. HV power distribution and switching desirable also. Electrical as main discipline but C&I understanding and cross over is desirable to understand:

* Control signal outputs

* Profinet / Profibus comms links

Understand machinery safety interlocks and can work with suppliers to determine Safety Integrity Level (SIL) of system, safety system architecture and validation by means of HAZOP and PUWER exercises. 17th Edition qualified to manage and provide authority over installation standards. Involved throughout project to understand system architecture, power supply requirements, understand boundaries of mechanical/process, electrical control based integration. CAD essential. Produce layout diagrams, cable schematics, cable block diagrams, cables schedules, Field wiring lists, Equipment lists, as part of detailed engineering stage. Working on system designs to determine supply requirements Full Load Current and required available capacity from existing sub stations / transformers. Understanding of Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) and specification and drives config for relevant application DOL Starter specification, understanding of Control Voltage distribution and relay switching, typically 24vdc but familiarity with 110vac. Work Package Management (Project management) : Working on agreed technical scope often with Mechanical and Process design engineer. Working through Early Equipment Methodology stage gate process from concept to completion: Idea, Concept & Feasibility, Detailed Engineering, Procurement, Installation, Commissioning, Documentation and Handover. Manage cost, quality and time to bring electric work package in on budget, on time and within suitable governance to bring alignment to other work packages. Communicate with Project Manager to develop Work Breakdown Structure, Scheduled delivery plan and identify risks and mitigation factors.
