Accountable for service delivery, colleague management, run cost management, supplier performance, risk management and IT policy compliance.

Job Description

Your role as a Service Lead is important in the future of our Risk service. You'll be able to shape the way we deploy and manage services using cutting edge technology.

On a day to day basis, this will mean being part of an engineering team who will:

* Provide effective delivery of live service utilising Partners to deliver continuous improvements in day to day live service and deliver business outcomes.
* Be accountable for the Service across critical and key systems, including robust management of incidents / impacts and risks across the Risk business.
* Support critical business process and disaster recovery to ensure our systems have maximum uptime.
* Manage and build key stakeholder relationships to improve the overall service provided.
* Oversee third party suppliers and partners to deliver excellent service levels whilst driving down the cost of contracts.

As a Service Lead you will be expected to demonstrate and apply exemplary service engineering practices and skills, whilst working in a collaborative and agile environment.

About you 

Essential Skills:

* Sound decision-making abilities when faced with complex demands and issues that can, and will, arise throughout delivery of services
* Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with high attention to detail.
* Experience of working with IT and external partners to resolve incidents
* Track record of ensuring appropriate service documentation & agreed processes are followed.
* Strong knowledge of the software development life-cycle from design, build to production

Desirable Skills

* Service Management background, particularly in the areas of Incident and Problem Management.
* knowledge of Service Introduction processes, their implementation and the various ways to apply them in an Agile environments
* Orchestration & maintenance of cloud hosting solutions such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform
