Test Lead

Test Lead / Senior Test Analyst / Test Strategy / Test Planning / Permanent / Burton upon Trent

My nationally recognised, market leading client is looking for an experienced Test Lead to join their growing IT Team at their Burton upon Trent offices.

As the Test Lead you will support projects from start to finish ensuring that all elements of testing have been undertaken and the software delivered into production functions against specification and is 'fit for purpose'.

Key responsibilities:

*Take a lead role on the project from a testing perspective, bringing knowledge and experience of testing and how it operates to help test the new solution.

*Ensure all test plans plan and test cases/scripts are prepared and executed according to the plan.

*Be the key point of contact between the test team, project and business teams and will responsible for test status reporting.

*Develop and own the project Test Strategy/Approach

*Creating the Testing Plans in line with the Strategy

*Perform Test Planning

*Plan and manage all functional and technical testing processes including: Unit Testing, System & Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Data Migration Testing, and Operational Acceptance Testing.

*Line Manage the testing resources to support the project deliverables

*Ensure availability of appropriate test cases

*Align test cases with business design and specifications

*Deliver status reports and final test status

*Defect Management

*Gain Business Sign-Off for testing.

*Be the key point of contact for the testing workstreams across all areas of the project.

Key skills and experience required:

*Previous experience working in a Senior Test Analyst or Test lead role.

*Experience of working on integration and data projects

*Experience leading and managing a small team.

*Ideally ISTQB certified or equivalent.

*Strong problem solving skills and ability to communicate across the whole organisation and communicate well with the IT management and leadership teams.

*Self-directed and self-motivated both as a leader and as an individual contributor.

*Demonstrate ability to learn new technologies and evaluate for adoption.

*Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
