Your key responsibilities:

As a member of the Test Team within Data Technology & Operations, you'll help deliver technical solutions that will meet the business requirements of our stakeholders. This will include defining, estimating, planning, creating and executing automated test scripts.

* Create and update reusable automated test scripts.

* Capture and report on test results for status reporting.

* Define, source and / or generate test data required for test execution.

* Contribute to test estimates.

* Produce test plans covering the scope of test coverage to achieve sign off for the testing. Include and validate all gaps, risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies with mitigation.

* Work with and assist the other teams within the department and provide technical & domain input

* Contribute to the peer review process by ensuring independent peer reviews are undertaken on own work and others.

* Ensure that regression test scripts are maintained in line with ongoing changes to the platform

* Support and contribute to the testing strategy within the DTO department.

Your skills:

* In depth understanding of large scale data, such as data warehouses and their best practice and principles of manging them

* Proven track record of developing testing capability in automated framework

* Technology background that includes as many of the following as possible

* Selenium, Cucumber, LeanFT, Java, Maven, Jenkins, Git

* Experience of ETL technical design, development and support

* Excellent SQL skills. Experience using Netezza and Oracle are desirable but not essential.

* Experience of Unix and python scripting

* Demonstrates exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and has a proven ability to influence technical decisions in a fast-moving commercial environment.
