Business Case and Benefits Realisation Manager

My nationally recognised client is looking for an experienced Business Case and Benefits Realisation Manager to join their growing Change Team at their head office in Warwickshire.

This Business Case and Benefits Realisation Manager will be PMO team subject matter lead on benefits realisation, business case development and investment appraisal. You will be responsible for the development of the business case and benefits services offered by PMO, which will include providing consultancy, coaching and assurance to programmes and projects on all aspects of business cases and benefits management.

Key responsibilities:

*Business Case Production; working with Portfolio Managers to assess and develop how the five case model can be used effectively to produce suitable business cases.

*Business Case Assessment; independently assessing business cases prior to their submission to the governance committee.

*Benefits Management Processes; developing the tools and monitoring standards to allow benefits techniques to be applied robustly and to ensure that important benefits are owned and monitored through to realisation.

*Benefits Consultancy; providing coaching across Change and the wider business to proactively identify, quantify and track the realisation of benefits.

*Benefits Assurance; conducting reviews into programmes and projects to assess how robustly benefits management is being applied.

*Ensures Business Case Key Holders provide comprehensive support to Programmes in the development of business cases ensuring that investment recommendations to Portfolio Committee are robust and focussed.

*Provides strategic leadership for Portfolio Prioritisation ensuring that the Investment Portfolio is the best use of the investment funding to achieve the strategy.

*Provides training and awareness-building sessions on any of the above.

Key skills and experience:

*Experience in business case, benefits realisation and options/portfolio analysis management to support corporate investment decisions for large complex projects/programmes.

*Proven ability to adapt traditional methods and processes to both support Agile working and maintain levels of required scrutiny and assurance.

*Knowledge and experience of multiple delivery methodologies and extensive experience of complex business case development and benefits management.

*Experience in driving action through the principle of continuous improvement and development, throughout a complex technical and diverse organisation.

*Experience of effectively managing relationships with and influencing senior stakeholders, producing clear advice on complex issues.

*Focused on delivery of outcomes, can work under pressure, respond quickly and decisively to changing circumstances and to a tight timetable.
