Senior Systems Project Delivery Manager

My market leading client is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Project Delivery Manager / Programme Manager to work in their Finance Systems Team at their South Birmingham head office!

This role is pivotal in leading the delivery of all System Change programmes, pipeline to benefit delivery. You will also be managing a team of Project Managers in support of these major programmes, projects & organisational change initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

*Manage and co-ordinate pipeline Releases so that the Systems team workload is balanced and planned in advance.

*To work with key stakeholders across the business and within the third party organisations, to understand, coordinate, and communicate Systems Change Pipeline, ensuring that conflicts, synergies and opportunities are identified and managed.

*Ensure that Systems delivery teams produce required deliverables to required standards of quality within specified constraints of time and cost, providing a quality service to Business led Programmes and Projects. Ensure proper governance is followed throughout with lessons learned for continued improvement

*To lead on planning Systems Development & Delivery Team work in the delivery of Systems change, seeking continuing improvement in the processes in place to improve the quality of deliveries.

*Plan team work using modern Project management standards and tools adhering to the agreed Project Life cycle.

*Work with Business Project Managers agreeing scope, key milestone dates and dependencies for the successful delivery of their wider projects.

*Manage Project Manager so that they are familiar with what is required of them and that lessons learnt from previous releases are adhered to.

*Produce clear and concise communication to senior stakeholders, to provide key updates in relation to governance and status of systems change deliveries.

Key skills and experience required:

*Management of complex and high risk, high value projects.

*Management of multi-project releases from agreement of requirements to delivery into live.

*Excellent project management, planning and organising skills based on understanding of multiple project management methods.

*Able to plan and manage external dependencies and multiple project dependencies.

*Multi-discipline experience, preferably multi-organisation.

*Able to define challenging objectives and achieve them.

*Relationship building at all levels up to and including Board level and including external stakeholders.

*Ability to mentor and coach Release Project Managers in project management techniques as well as Governance and Process.

*Excellent written, oral, presentation and facilitation skills.

*Knowledge and experience of multiple project management and programme management methodologies
