Data Scientist - 10 weeks - Kingston

My Client, a British-Dutch transnational consumer goods company, is looking for a Data Scientist to join them on an exciting new role in the Data Science Centre of excellence. This is will be on an initial 10-week contract based in Kingston

Role Accountabilities

* The successful candidate will deliver intelligent systems at scale and build out the right applications to enable business teams to move faster

* You will be working alongside lead geographies to create analytics products that make a massive impact to the business

* You will be a part of the I&A Data science team and work closely with the I&A supply chain team

* You will gather data and build machine learning models to solve advanced forecasting problems

* You will also support the product teams scaling models into low-touch solutions and provide optimal ROI from data science

Key skills

* You must have experience machine learning forecasting techniques

* You require full knowledge and experience of Supply Chain

* You require over 4 years work experience in Data Science which were significantly focused on Supply Chain

* You must have strong communication skills with the ability to work with peers and demonstrate vertical & lateral influence

* You must have experience with:

* Cloud Architecture (MS Azure)

* Simulation packages (Anylogic)

* Distributed computing (Hadoop, Spark)

* It would also be beneficial if you hold some Project Manager experience
