An experience Lead Java developer / Tech Lead is required by a successful Fund Manager to work on the design architecture and development of their Java and Oracle based platform to provide new features. Later in the year you will re-architect the regulatory platform to incorporate an Angular front end and introduce Big Data / Data Science elements using Python, Hadoop etc.

As you will be mentoring more junior Java developers and working on Design and Architecture (SOA, Web Services, Rest APIS), it is expected you will have expert level Java together with strong Database skills ie Oracle, PL/SQL. You will also preferably have some front-end skills in HTML and Javascript as they are transitioning from WPF to Angular 6. Any exposure to Big Data / Data Science tech would be beneficial as you will be involved with developing new aspects to the system utilising technologies like Python, MongoDB and Hadoop,

From the business perspective you will directly with users making and understanding of regulatory requirements gained from a buy side or Investment bank, or potentially Portfolio Management or buy side Risk applications. This is a high profile, business facing role where you will be a key person determining the direction and shape of future systems in the group.
