Section Leader (Engines)

Our client is the charity that saves lives at sea. They are currently recruiting a Section Leader for their Inshore Lifeboat Centre (ILC), based on the Isle of Wight. 

As the Section Leader, you'll be responsible for the efficient running of the engine workshop, building, refitting and repairing a variety of engines in support of the main IB1/D-Class and Atlantic lifeboats.

You will be expected to work closely with other Section Leaders involved in the production line and report on progress at the relevant production meetings.

Your work will also include producing parts for production orders and being involved in staff planning. You will also hold responsibility for the performance management of all your allocated staff in the department through our client's RADAR system.

To be considered, you will need: 

- Experience of working in a production environment 
- Previous experience as a boat builder, solutionist, fitter, electrician or engine fitter
- A time served apprenticeship or equivalent experience 
- A Chartered Management Institute Level 3 Supervisory qualification or equivalent
