Birmingham ShortList Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join a rapidly growing team within a software development firm in Birmingham. The Senior Project will be the lead on a combination of short term and long-term initiatives for the firm. The role is instrumental to the delivery of the initiatives and will suit a driven individual with strong experience in a variety of projects. The ideal Senior Project Manager will be able to adapt to corporate political environments, whilst at the same time relate to fast-paced tech start-ups. You will manager a variety of project teams and reporting back to the operations team for update. Having experience working in an Agile environment would be desirable. Key responsibilities for the Senior Project Manager: · Undertake responsibility for the planning and delivery of a range of initiatives within the portfolio.
· Work alongside other Team Leads such as Solutions Architects, Product Owners and Third-Party Suppliers to ensure projects are running to schedule and change is adopted fully.
· Directly managing another PM, alongside other teams and initiatives.
· Define and maintain the full portfolio and ensure this is aligned with the overall initiatives.
· Ensure that changes and new capabilities are fully managed through to delivery including test phases and releases are running to agreed timescales.
· Undertake and provide full and regular reporting on status of the portfolio, delivery activity, risks and any other plans for future development.
· Undertake and ensure Agile practices are adopted and utilises whilst demonstrative best practice.
· Drive the team, ensuring they remain creative, productive and innovative. This role requires a Senior Project Manager with experience managing mid to large scale projects within a range of environments. This firm is fast paced and diverse in their approach to the adoption of software delivery, so this role will suit an individual who thrives on challenges and utilises a broad skill set built upon solid software delivery experience. The Senior Project Manager role reports directly into the Head of PMO. The Senior Project Manager will be rewarded with a salary of up to £60,000 and a host of benefits. The role is located in Birmingham and is commutable from Wolverhampton, Walsall, Dudley, Kidderminster, and West Bromwich.
