What will you be doing?

As a Java Application Developer, you will work closely with the enthusiastic team to deliver high quality software solutions. Every day you will be doing something different from designing to developing. As a Java Application Developer, you will be contributing to many exciting projects.

To be successful within this role you need to be able to work to deadlines. A necessity is to have good communication skills. Finally, you will need to be able to move between projects.

What skills you should have:

-Degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering or a scientific discipline

-Experienced Java Application Developer

-An understanding of software best practice

-Experience of working in a collaborative team environment

Any knowledge or experience of the below are desirable skills:

-Core Web Development (XHTML, CSS, User Interface Design)

-Development of Rich Internet Applications, e.g. JSF, JavaScript, HTML5

-Development with Open Source products, e.g. Alfresco, Joomla, MongoDB

-Mobile Development (iOS, Android)

-REST and Web Services

-Java (Spring, JPA/Hibernate, Java EE)

-UML

-Maven, Subversion, Git
