Digital Learning Technologist - Temporary

The Company

Part of a leading organisation, our client is the leading global provider of non-destructive testing and inspection services. 

Based in their new multi-million pound Engineering Training Centre in Sheffield, they offer a range of inspection and non-destructive testing training courses, examinations and consultancy services. 

Now, our client is looking for a Digital Learning Technologist to join their team in Sheffield for an eight week contract. This is the ideal role for someone looking for a self-employed role, however contractors will also be considered.

If you have experience with training or learning management systems and Moodle, this is the ideal role in which to take your next step and play a vital part in getting our client's Training Management System up and running.

Your Role 

As a Digital Learning Technologist, you will be tasked with integrating a new training management system into the organisation's business processes. You will also integrate and implement a Moodle learning management system with the support of a Moodle partner. 

This is primarily a testing role in which you will ensure that the solution is fit for purpose and fully quality tested. 

Working as part of the Online Learning Team, you will integrate recently reviewed business procedures, a CRM database, a booking system, exam processes and database, and online learning courses onto the new system. 

Your role will also include: 

- Developing an understanding of business needs, system functionality and business processes 
- Providing support documentation for all elements that are integrated 
- Assisting and advising on the configuration, testing, implementation and support of the system 
- Making recommendations to optimise processes 
- Providing appropriate training for all staff in the use of the system 

About You 

To be considered as a Digital Learning Technologist, you will need: 

- Experience of working with training or learning management systems 
- Experience of Moodle 
- Experience in design, integration and systems architecture 
- Experience of working in agile environments, leading small changes and project work 
- Knowledge and/or experience of Cloud solutions
