Epos Multisite Product Architect

Hours: Full-time/Temp - 18 months

Location: Scunthorpe

Salary: £45,000

We are looking for an Epos Multisite Product owner. You will be responsible for the architecture, design and development of a Multisite version on Nisa's Evolution Epos system. You will also need to apply proven Systems Analysis, design and problem-solving skills to deliver a product suitable for managing Nisa partners stores.

Responsibilities

* Collaborate with analysts, designers, developers, system owners and Business users in the development of new software programs and applications.

* Ensure that the developed solution meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications.

* Document / Capture business requirements for the product and work with the IT Project Management, Development and test teams to deliver.

* Contribute to test analysis and design phase by evaluating system designs and requirements in order to identify ambiguities, potential problem areas, and make the appropriate recommendations.

Position Requirements

Knowledge & Experience

* Knowledge of Systems Design, testing, software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.

* Knowledge of Epos (Electronic Point of Service) solutions in a retail environment.

* Working knowledge of network and PC operating systems.

* Working knowledge of current network hardware, protocols and standards.

* Good project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures, project lifecycle models, etc.

* Proven experience in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of software solutions.

* Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.

* Knowledge of database design and file management techniques using Microsoft SQL Server.

* Experience of developing software solutions for use in a retail environment.

* Experience of Agile software development methodologies.

* Experience of writing Systems specifications and User stories.

* Occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines.

* Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.

* Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.

* Some travel may be required for the purpose of off-site software and system applications testing.
