Spring Technology's client, a public sector organisation, are currently looking to recruit an Integration Developer for an initial 3 month period based in Glasgow on a rate of £350-400/day (outside IR35).

The Role:

This Public Sector organisation are in the process of implementing a project to replace their existing an Information Management System with a new Completely Off the Shelf System (COTS), provided by an external vendor.

As part of the project the client will require to undertake a series of migrations and integration.

There is an immediate requirement for Analyst Developers who will work perform migration and integration/ interface development.

Ideally candidates will have a background in Public Sector or Higher Education sectors.

Responsibilities:

* Developing Scripts/Procedures for migrating and integrating data.

* Testing migration and integration scripts/procedures.

* Designing/Developing Entity Data Models.

* Design migration and integration solutions.

* Developing interfaces and integrating business critical systems.

* Produce detailed documentation for all technical deliverables in line with agreed standards.

* Performing detailed analysis to determine user requirements.

* Work with complex data / Information sets to produce appropriate reports to service users.

* Act as a subject matter expert in the area of technical migration and integration work.

* Provide professional advice within own area of technical expertise.

Experience & Knowledge:

* Software development tools and languages - e.g. Java, C#, .NET, SQL, PL-SQL, Oracle, HTML.

* Design & development of integrations using standard web technologies (e.g. JSON, XML, XLST, SOAP and REST web services).

* Extract Transform and Load - staging databases.

* Experience of SITS tools - e.g. in-built import/export, stu-talk integration or other integration platforms.

* Exposure to integration bus or enterprise service bus.

* Experience of implementing interfaces - dynamic and batch data import/export.

* Software solution analysis, design and implementation.

* Data Modelling.

* Software development methodologies.

* Experience with software project and source code management tools (e.g. Jira, GitHub, Microsoft).

* Project management methodologies.

* Experience with common education sector corporate systems - e.g. Tribal SITS, Unit 4 ISIS, Blackboard and Oracle e-Business Suite.

* Systems/logical perspective - delivering pragmatic/practical results.

* Problem-solving and analysis.

* Organising & planning work - working to tight deadlines.

* Written & verbal communications - bridging the technical and business divide.

* Teamwork - working and collaborating with business and technical colleagues.
