Create a more customer-centric digital experience

About Us

Westminster is dynamic, multicultural and unique - much like our employees. Their expertise and commitment has enabled Westminster to thrive, despite reductions in public sector funding.  One of the ways we achieve this is through innovative use of digital technology. As part of our focus on efficiency, we are currently reviewing and updating our website, placing the customer at the heart of its design.

 The Role

Bring your expertise to the redevelopment of a major local government website. You'll have the opportunity to review all aspects, including the structure, user experience and capabilities, as well as the operating model required to maintain and develop it. Starting by defining the scope, success criteria, resources and governance needed for the project, you will then work with a UX specialist to deliver the website design. This includes the management of procurement, risk, budget and stakeholder relationships.

About You

A highly skilled project manager you'll have substantial experience of developing customer-centric website strategies and delivering the resulting technical solutions in fast-paced environments. You'll be used to working in agile/lean development environments. Experience of re-platforming from Drupal 7 and exposure to the Local Government Digital Service Standard (LGDSS) would be helpful. You'll have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and service areas.

What We Offer

If you're as productive as you are ambitious and collaborative as you are enterprising, this is your chance to take real ownership of your work, right in the heart of iconic Westminster, a true ‘City for All'. This is a unique place where it all happens. And where it could all happen for you. As a progressive and innovative organisation, we welcome applications from candidates keen to work in an agile environment with flexible conditions.
