We are looking to recruit a Senior IT Project Manager, reporting to the Head of Transformation and Change, based in West Midlands. This is a senior role within an engaged and talented team of change professionals, delivering the future capability the clients needs to compete in the 21st century.

This role will have three core components to it:

*Ownership and management of our most complex programmes and projects, with individual capital expenditure of up to £1m.

*Acting as a Portfolio Lead, to provide project and portfolio support to the Head of Transformation and Change, you will oversee and co-ordinate change activity across two of our key Portfolios, Operations and Business Roadside.

*Coaching and support of the wider team of project and junior project managers - as one of the most senior change practitioners within the team; you will exemplify excellence in execution and inspire your teams to deliver for our business.

Key Responsibilities:

*Day-to-day management and execution of the programme/portfolio on behalf of the business sponsor

*Ownership and Co-ordination of the projects and their interdependencies within portfolios

*Working closely with our Operations and Business Roadside teams to manage demand, ensuring project proposals have clear objectives and benefits cases

*Providing day-to-day portfolio support to the Head of Transformation & Change

*Follow the defined Stage Gate process

*Creation and running of the necessary governance structures and associated communications

*Identification, analysis and management of risks, issues and dependencies through the definition and implementation of appropriate management strategies and action plans

*Facilitating the allocation and management of resources against plan

*Management of project finances and spend against baseline budget

*Management of 3rd party suppliers

Skills / Knowledge / Experience:

*Demonstrable ability to manage IT and business change programmes/projects within a complex business services environment - extensive experience

*A solid technical background

*Proven experience in vendor and supplier management

*High levels of commercial awareness and the ability to ensure that business objectives are met through the delivery of change

*Specific experience related to the delivery of change for the relevant Portfolio business areas (as identified above in the Role Purpose above)
