Senior Finance Manager - LONDON - £400-£500 - 3 Months

The work location is in Paddington, LONDON and is a 3 months contract.

Pay rate is between £400 - £500 per day.

The role is working for a well established, multi-national retailer and specialises in clothing, home and luxury product.

Key accountabilities of the role include:

* Leading the month-end close of the books for Technology for March and April month ends and supporting handover of month end close for May month end

* Providing financial support/business partnering support to allocated portfolio teams (Technology, Corporate, SAP, Big Data and Information Management, and Cyber Security including assistance with monitoring monthly spend, managing outturn view, supporting with preparation of POs and IOs for project spend and leading portfolio finance review meetings

* Review and challenge of business cases for allocated portfolio teams (Technology, Corporate, SAP, Big Data and Information Management, and Cyber Security

* Assisting junior team members with ad hoc queries / support

* Working alongside the external auditors to resolve any outstanding year end queries;

* Preparation of monthly commentary packs for submission to Group Finance and to the Technology Lead Team

Key skills and experience

* Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with a significant post qualification experience;

* Excellent project management and organisational skills;

* Ability to quickly build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and to influence across all levels;

* Good analytical skills and an ability to appropriately challenge information and data provided;

* Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and without significant day to day direct management;

* Strong communication skills - needs to be able to respond directly to queries from Head of Finance - Cost and Capital and FP&A and other senior finance stakeholders

* Advanced excel skills
