Systems Accountant - SunSystems - City of London - Permanent - £45k - £55k Per Annum.

The Company

A Housing Association based in London is seeking an experienced SunSystems Developer, to join them in the midst of a major transformation.

The Role

This role will be responsible for the on-going support and continuous development of Enterprise business solutions within the organisation, primarily for Finance (but also Corporate Services) application technology stacks.

Responsibilities

*You will assist in delivering an on-going programme of solutions design and delivery work to support the goals, objectives and business change agendas of the organisation.

*You will make a full contribution throughout the life-cycle of solutions supported, from design through build, test and transition into operational running, as well as the support of production applications and services.

*You will design, document and code application components for solutions in scope, including but not limited to: database structures and dataflow, business logic and functionality, presentation layer and User Interface, integration and workflow, web services, messaging and testing.

*You will design, build and configure solutions which are fully aligned with the organisation's enterprise architecture and roadmaps, are fit for purpose from an information security management perspective, and meet delivery, quality and cost requirements and expectations.

*You will translate high level business requirements and functional specifications for business solutions into detailed technical designs and specifications, which meet both functional and non-functional requirements.

*You will provide 2nd line application escalation support to the Enterprise Applications Support (EAS) team, acting as referrer group for application related incidents and service requests which the EAS team cannot resolve/fulfil, troubleshooting and fixing incidents, and where appropriate developing solutions to prevent re-occurrences.

Experience Required

Essential

*Solid, multi-organisation experience in applications solutions development/delivery, in particular with Finance management systems.

*Experience of implementing and developing/configuring Infor SunSystems financial management system, Infor ION BI (for Budgeting & Forecasting) and related Professional Advantage products (e.g. iPOS eProcurement).

*A sound understanding of Financial accounting practices and how they apply to Finance management systems.

*A sound understanding and knowledge of application development and solutions design and delivery, with the emphasis on development, testing and service transition.

*Knowledge of professional software development best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and service operations.

*Solid understanding of MS SQL, including the ability to enhance existing applications through changes to existing or the creation of new tables, views and stored procedures.

*Knowledge of incident management process and helpdesk applications.

*Experience of working with in-house development teams, 3rd party application developers and solution providers.

Qualifications required:

*Relevant Infor SunSystems Financial Management Software course certifications.

*Relevant IT related academic or industry qualifications.
