We are recruiting for an experienced Technical Analyst with a strong focus on wrtiting technical requirements for backend web services.

As a Technical Analyst you'll be knowledgeable and passionate about technology and product development, enjoy working with other smart people and use agile to ensure your projects succeed. You are experienced in, and follow best practice in, Agile and analytical methods. You will possess the ability to articulate the technical requirements and their business relevance on highly complex solutions. Using a collaborative approach, you will work in an Agile team to distil the product vision into specific deliverables that meet the overall technical strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

*

Act as the Technical Analyst for an Agile Team, participating with Architects, Developers and Testers in defining the Product Backlog. Typical responsibilities include:

* Definition of interface changes between systems/components

* Defining technical user stories to support new functionality or changes to existing; this often involves close collaboration with architects and developers as well as client services

* Write stories with clarity and acceptance criteria to ensure the successful delivery of the features.

* Organise regular Agile planning ceremonies and showcases, and participate in daily stand-ups and retrospectives.

* Collaborate with Programme Managers, Delivery Managers and other Product Owners to create an aligned roadmap from a prioritised backlog that communicates a common vision and criteria for success for the product. Ensure the roadmap is kept up-to-date and communicated accordingly.

* Be the primary source of information and truth for the product and leverage this expertise to provide insight and clarity.

* Understand the interactions between components and external consumers ensuring requirements are aligned across the solution.

* Translating business requirements to technical requirements that are defined appropriately for the Agile team.

* Collaborate with the Scrum Master to organise and prioritise the Agile team's work.

* Promote creativity and encourage technical innovation in the pursuit of business goals and targets.

* Be able to provide a consistent and coherent product vision at appropriate levels of detail for stakeholders, technical teams and the wider business.

* Leverage iterative development to maximize return - get the minimal acceptable feature depth to production quickly and continually grow feature richness in pursuit of benefit.

* Be able to understand and communicate the business value of features in a technical context.

* Deputise for the Scrum Master when needed.

Requirements/ Skills:

* Technical Analyst experience, ideally within an Agile team for a large organisation.

* Worked within a web environment and has an excellent understanding of web concepts including REST and RESTful services.

* Strong technical understanding of high transactional backend systems.

* Able to quickly understand the full end-to-end functionality of all components within a complex architecture.

* Worked within an integration/multi team environment providing backend services

* Written technical requirements for backend web services.

* Managed Product Backlog using Jira and Confluence or similar tools.
