Business Analyst - E2E project lifecycle experience, Utilities

We have an opportunity for a Business Analyst to join Experis on a permanent basis. You will be working as part of our Employed Consultant team, on site with a multi-national Gas company based in Coventry. Role Summary:

The Business Analyst will work on multiple projects & programmes (concurrently) and through the entire project lifecycle of a project from initial project feasibility, through design and delivery through to Project completion.

The role will work closely with business areas and other teams to identify how change can help support business strategy, within the framework of strategy - this could include challenge to Business Processes to ensure efficient and cost effective solutions are pursued. The initial areas of engagement will be before a project is initiated (e.g. mandate, scoping, research, problem definition), and during the lifecycle phases ensure that the business requirements continue to match the solution delivery.

The BA will be expected to actively improve their own and will be expected to take a wide view of business' needs and to work with all areas to ensure solutions are delivered that are not only fit for purpose but bring the maximum benefit to the business overall.

Key Accountabilities:

* For multiple projects (concurrent) complete and update project documentation; managing project scope; adjusting schedules when necessary; determining daily priorities; ensuring efficient and on-time delivery of project tasks and milestones; following proper escalation paths; and managing customer and supplier relationships

* Provide support, management & mentoring (to BA Practice) team members to improve overall practice capability when requested to do so by the practice lead

* Manage a number of Junior BA's.

* Support development plans of direct reports and relevant HR procedures.

* Workshop facilitation - Managing and leading the requirements workshops.

* Undertake Systems / Data Analysis

* Provide project level analysis including PM activities where appropriate - producing required project analysis documentation (business requirements, scope matrix, use cases, sequence diagrams, future state proposals, etc.)

* Collaborate closely with fulfilling teams e.g. developers to implement the requirements, provide necessary guidance to testers during QA process

* Elicit and clearly document business and systems requirements including business process and system inefficiencies where identified.

* Create all documentation at the correct level of detail & standard to endure future phases of each project is correctly directed to deliver fit for purpose solutions i.e. analysis documents are used by technical teams from which to commence solution design work, test teams use both tech design & BA requirements docs to test from etc.

Essential Skills and Experience:

* Experience in Utilities business or equivalent would be advantageous

* Experience of working within a programme/project management delivery framework

* Demonstrable experience of delivering project and programme level business analysis with a variety of techniques tailored to fit the nature of the scenario

* Detailed understanding of project and program management principles including various methods and techniques,

* Experience of supporting Senior Management Teams in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the business

* Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
