Are you a Cisco Certified network professional, looking for a role where you can take the lead in managing major enterprise level network projects?
There's a lot of great things happening at Your Housing Group making it a good time to join the business and get involved. We are currently implementing significant investment into Digital and Organisational transformation and our ICT Team is growing and evolving significantly.
As part of this growth and investment, our Networking team has recently completed a large-scale transformation project and we are continuing to decommission our legacy network infrastructures in favour of new enterprise level systems
Due to this, we now have an opportunity for a capable Senior Network Engineer to join our collaborative ICT function to maintain and develop the Networking systems infrastructure at YHG encompassing Cisco firewall, switching and Meraki Cloud technologies.
As our Senior Network Engineer, you will help shape further change for the business and play a key role in Decommissioning further legacy systems, upgrading networks across the group with projects such as on domain Wi-Fi implementation, and taking a lead in the configuration of our new Nexus and Catalyst systems, so there's a lot of significant Network projects here at YHG to keep you challenged, interested, and further develop your experience.
Ideally you will be a CCNP, certified in either Routing & Switching or Security (or working towards one of these) and will have experience working at a high level of autonomy supervising, mentoring and collaborating with other Network Engineers on major projects.
If you have a majority of the following experience, we would really like to hear from you:
Cisco Certified Network Professional CCNP Certified or working towards
Implementing, supporting and managing LAN, WAN and secure wireless network environments
Resolving complex technical problems in accordance with the Group's policies & processes.
Responsible for a network technical maintenance programme, resolving failures in hardware and software and ensuring appropriate "housekeeping" tasks are implemented
Enterprise level firewalls and network security applications/appliances
Working knowledge of AD, DHCP, TCP/IP and DNS configuration and all relevant protocols
Ability to maintain and support VoIP Telephony systems
Assisting in the delivery of ICT infrastructure projects to deliver the required solution, ensuring that appropriate controls are in place and that the solution is handed over to the Service Desk
Working knowledge of change control methodologies and the production & maintenance of technical documentation in a timely and accurate manner for implemented changes
Design and plan the effective testing of new systems, releases and major upgrades applying suitable test methodologies as required
Being a point of escalation for network related issues escalated from Service Desk
Work with 3rd party support and delivery partners, ensuring that they work to the Group's internal standards and procedures.
In return, we offer our Senior Network Engineer a competitive salary of £42,000 - £55,500 dependent on experience.
