An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading international Critical Connectivity provider specialising in Machine-to-Machine (M2M) and IoT communications.
The organisation's solutions, platform and partnerships with Mobile Network Operators across Europe provide complete end-to-end connectivity solutions for Security, Fire, Health and other mission critical M2M applications. The rapidly expanding private-equity backed company are market leaders in the Security and Health Sectors with operations in the UK, Ireland, Nordics and Benelux.
Requirements:
Hardware architecture design, schematic entry and PCB layout. With skills in analogue, digital, high speed peripheral interfaces, ethernet, power supply design and RF (2G, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi).
Knowledge of software architectures in embedded systems and firmware development lifecycle using C and RTOS.
Full product design lifecycle: from concept and requirements capture, system architecture, design specification to system integration, verification and liaising with production.
Design of production test equipment for PCB assemblies, final assembly functional testing and end of line testing procedures. DFMA (design for manufacturing) and DFT (design for testing).
Management of technical documentation, product data and BOMs for NPI (new product introduction) and standard QMS (quality management systems).
Project planning exposure and team leadership, liaising with external suppliers, distributors and manufacturing partners.
Understanding of product certification requirements and standards: EMC, Safety, LVD, ISO, etc.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
Networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP)
Knowledge of IOT architectures and infrastructures
Battery powered, handheld devices.
