As we look to transform our organisation and embrace a digital future, a new and exciting opportunity has been created for an experienced IT Infrastructure Manager to join the team and play a pivotal role in successfully delivering our IT Transformation.  The role will have responsibility for the successful delivery of all elements of our infrastructure program whilst also developing the Infrastructure team's culture and processes. 

Key accountabilities / duties include but are not limited to:

Management and development of the Infrastructure Delivery Team to ensure professional, highly efficient and effective delivery of Infrastructure projects and change initiatives.

Work closely with the Technical Architecture team to manage the delivery of the Technical Architecture Portfolio.

Work closely with the Service Delivery team to ensure timely and structured transition of projects into BAU.

Continuous improvement of the Infrastructure services, systems, tools, documentation and processes.

Transition new, updated and retired services to and from the service portfolio including supporting of the early life phase of new or changed services.

Make the work of the Infrastructure Delivery Team visible to all, ensuring transparency in the planning, prioritisation and execution of all tasks.

Own the IT project delivery process and represent and report progress of the wider IT team to all Stakeholders.

Contribute to the wider IT Strategy and help define and develop appropriate processes and policy documents.

Contribute to the efficient and effective running of the IT Department as a member of the IT Management Team.

Routinely deliver against a set of Key Performance Indicators.

Act as an escalation point as required to the Incident and Problem Management processes.

Technical Skills:

Experience of delivering Infrastructure change within a fast paced, high frequency change environment.

Have a broad understanding of relevant technologies and the opportunities they provide to enhance our service offerings - examples are:-

Microsoft based server infrastructures and back office technologies

Linux/open source technologies

Experience of delivering solutions using a mix of on premise, hybrid and SaaS, PaaS and IaaS models.

Virtualisation technologies

Modern Storage solutions

Data Centre and Edge Networking

Infrastructure and Endpoint security technologies

Office 365 and Microsoft Azure

Scripting, PowerShell, Ansible

Excellent Stakeholder management with C-level engagement experience.

Working knowledge and understanding of Architectural Frameworks would be advantageous.
