Technical Architect / Solution Architect - Application Architecture, Systems Integration, RESTful API, Micro Service Architecture, AWS, Java, Angular.js etc. Permanent, City of London c.90k- 100k (On Experience) +Bonus +Benefits Global Fintech operating within the Insurance / InsureTech sector currently seeks an additional Technical Architect / Solutions Architect to join the team responsible for the design of functional and technical solutions for D2C and B2B websites within the estate.

The Technical Architect / Solution Architect will produce technical designs for new applications and changes to existing applications, Contribute to the development of the architectural roadmap, Support the development teams, liaise with Product Owners, technical teams, business stakeholders and IT managers as well as clients to provide architectural guidance, support and technical decision making.

You will be required to create both high and low level technical design documents for RESTful API systems build with Java utilising Micro Service Architectures.

All systems are deployed into the AWS cloud using a DevOps approach so an appreciation of cloud based computing, distributed networks and, specially, AWS would be highly beneficial albeit from an application/solution architecture perspective.

We are searching for a Technical Architect / Solution Architect who has worked within the financial service industry on full stack Java based systems.

You will have created both high level and low level design and have a strong understanding of a range of computer science concepts including micro service architecture.

Your experience will have included the design of Java based application at scale - amongst a range of other platforms and technologies - and ideally have resulted in them being deployed into the AWS cloud or other cloud based technologies.

You will possess exceptional communication and leadership skills and (ideally) hold a degree in Computer Science or similar although this is not essential.

You will ideally have been working in a tech startup, financial services statup, technology project business within a global corproate or from within a global insurance / reinsurance company.
