Technical Sales Engineer

We support Emergency services customers throughout the UK & Europe, Middle East and Australia and are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to join us. As part of our Technical team you'll work closely with our sales team and with our customers to design, develop and build solutions from Network Solutions to AV Integration across a diverse range of exciting and innovative technologies.

Key to the role will be:

Supporting customer meetings and technical presentations, translating complex technical requirements to support non-IT or tech centric audience

Solving customer problems in terms of technical solutions and design of custom made products

Identifying product development opportunities & communicating these back to the business for evaluation purposes

Analyse costs of sales to support GP

Providing pre and post sales technical assistance, support and product education

Supporting in the design of custom made solutions, developing and building prototype/ bespoke products/ solutions & services

Traveling to visit customers both nationally and internationally, developing and growing long-term relationships with customers

Participating in industry events, conferences and sales meetings

Essential Knowledge & Skills

Engineering degree and/ or any other relevant degree or certificate in a technical discipline or relevant technical experience

Logical

Experience in basic computer networking

Problem solving

Ability to design solutions

Excellent interpersonal skills

A full driving licence

Desirable Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of AV Solutions, networks and or voice solutions

Experience in Satellite technology, AV Systems or cellular communications

Experience of working in or providing support to sales teams

Experience of producing accurate technical quotations

Experience of working as a systems integrator
