Design Manager

Location: Bristol

Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 basic plus package

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Design Manager to join a large main contractor who are currently working on several extremely interesting projects with a strong focus in the medical sector as of recent.

Based in Bristol, this role will suit a Design Manager with an expert background in the industry. You must also be able to work independently with no support, and a wide variety of build sector project exposure is ideal.

This company are one of the largest contractors in the UK, with a great variety of prestigious projects in the pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design and delivery of all projects by ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of require project outcomes by exceeding client expectations on programme, cost and quality

* Create and manage a design library and tap into existing libraries.

* Establish and manage the documentation and deliverables completion processes

* Production of a Contractor's Proposal document in liaison with other internal departments.

* Preparation of Briefs for structural investigations, surveys and monitoring

* Management of budgets and tender design fees in preparation of detailed design fee estimates

* Review of designs on behalf of the contractor

Key Skills and Qualifications:

* Minimum 3 years' experience as a Design Manager

* Managed schemes at £10m+

* Proven track record working as a Design Manager for a main contractor

* High degree of commercial awareness

* Experience in Clean Rooms / Laboratories preferred but not essential

* Full UK driving licence
