Spring Technology is currently recruiting for a VMware NSX Network Engineer, to be based with our globally established client in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a market leading organisation who are in the process of completing a data centre migration, along with a number of other projects, and are looking for an NSX specialist to provide consultancy to the project alongside engineers and the wider project team. The client is investing in the NSX tool during the datacentre move to make some P2V migrations and utilise network virtualization as a long term networking solution.

The pay rate for this role will be between £400-450 per day. The start date for this role will be as soon as possible and the contract will initially be 3 months.

Our client is looking for a VMware NSX Network Engineer who can offer them support as they migrate to two new data centre locations, working to tight deadlines in 2019. This would suit an engineer with specialist NSX knowledge, who can provide input into the design and wider use of NSX, along with any improvements that could be made. Our client use a number of technologies in their networking stack, so this would suit an experienced engineer with a wide range of skills, who can consult with project managers and transfer knowledge to the rest of the team. The core technology stack includes Cisco switches and routers, Checkpoint / Fortinet Firewalls, F5 Load Balancers and of course the VMware network virtualization tool - NSX. The VCP-NV qualification would be preferred, however our client will also consider candidates who are suitably qualified by experience.

Essential Skills:

* Proven history as a Network Engineer

* Experience within a data centre and knowledge of VMware NSX

* Strong Cisco switching and routing experience (Nexus 7K and 9K)

* Fortinet and Checkpoint Firewalls

* F5 Load Balancing experience (GTM / LTM)

* Strong knowledge of VPN's and IPSEC
