IT Support Engineer - Network, Cisco, VMware, Windows, Exchange

£40,000 - £45,000 per annum

Spring Technology is currently working in partnership with a highly established retail organisation to recruit an IT Support Engineer based in the City of London.

Within this role you'll provide technical support to servers, LAN/WAN technology and computing. Maintaining efficient running of the helpdesk and have the ability to work on high-level projects.

The Responsibilities:

*You'll be performing analysis, diagnostics and problem resolution independently; evaluating and testing hardware and software; supporting and troubleshooting office automatons tools, peripherals and data network connectivity.

*Performing daily tasks - checking back ups etc.

*Working as a support function within a helpdesk environment.

*Analysing requirements with the ability to deliver technical solutions - ensuring acceptable product installation and providing some user training.

*Effectively working as part of the project team, using standard methods/processes completing project tasks and utilising network monitoring tools prevention and troubleshooting.

*Working as part of a cross-functional team meeting customer/ organizational needs.

*Providing Windows Server and Exchange support on a global basis.

*Managing and Supporting VMware infrastructure.

*Supporting Cisco technologies including Core switches, VoIP, wireless, ASA and VPN routers.

*Maintaining hardware, software inventory, build and deploy software packages using CA Asset Management and Software Delivery.

*Supporting Windows and Office applications.

*Supporting Retail infrastructure.

*Supporting mobile devices, iPhone and iPads.

*Providing out of hours/ on call support.

The Requirements:

*Strong experience supporting end user desktops including Windows, MAC, Office Applications and Networking.

*Solid experience of Windows Server, Exchange, VMware and Cisco (Core switches, VoIP, wireless, ASA and VPN routers) environments.

*Good analytical and problem solving skills - with a strong capability of working independently and as part of a team.

*Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
