A Software Manager is required by a prestigious organisation in their Farnborough offices.

The organisation has a growing demand for software engineering skills and are looking to recruit talented and motivated Senior Software to support our project activities from bidding through to delivery. The role offers the opportunity to contribute across many parts of the business from research to product development, avionics to cloud computing.

Essential Skills for the Software Manager:

* Eligible for SC clearance

* Experience of the full lifecycle software development from concept through to delivery

* Strong project experience using C++ (C# and/or Java could be considered)

* Skilled with agile development methodologies

* Senior team experience, able to run and lead development tasks/projects including requirements capture

* Able to work with minimal supervision

Desirable Skills for the Software Manager:

* Mentoring junior staff to develop organisational capability

* Experience managing a team - technical or line management

* Experience with GUI design and development (web or apps)

You must have a passion for IT, with an ability to embrace new technologies/ways of working to solve complex problems. Additionally you will have the ability to work as part of a dynamic team, able to contribute in an effective manner.
