£35K - £45K+ benefits

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator/Database Developer for a great company based on the outskirts of York. Joining a small team, the role includes designing and implementing technical solutions and supporting existing systems.

Working to quality standards and strict SLA's you will be handling large amounts of data, storing and indexing into Databases with a view that it can be accessed via web applications and for reporting and analysis. Performance tuning, setting up schemas and backups/restores etc… will be key tasks. You will also interpret and analyse the data and help present it to stakeholders and clients. This is an all-round Database maintenance and support based role, combining strong technical skills in Database development and administration.

Although you don't have to have worked with the specific systems It would be highly advantageous to have some or all of the following technical skills:

*Oracle/SQL

*PL/SQL

*SQL Tuning Experience

Desirable Skills:

*Any experience of APEX

*Oracle Spatial

*PostGIS

*CSS, HTML experience
