Due to further growth, a global leader in aerospace maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), is now looking to hire an Aircraft Technician to be based in Almondbank, Perth on a contract basis. This is a global company with over 6,000 professional employees working in 38 major facilities around the world, with additional strategically located regional service and support centres across the globe.The Aircraft Technician will be reporting to the Fuels & Propeller Manager and is responsible for the safe Maintenance Repair and Overhaul of Fuel & Propeller components to the very highest standards.
Main Responsibilities of the Aircraft Technician:
Effectively and efficiently carry out a variety of maintenance activities and modification programmes, qualifications and authorisation using authorised procedures as laid down in the approved source documentation.HSE Regulatory compliance.Complete work experience and training record entries, to demonstrate competence and continuing professional development.Fully embrace the Improving Quality (IQ) system, ensuring that the team monitors all aspects of their Quality performance and, where necessary, implement corrective action to improve Quality standards.Participation in continuous Improvement as detailed by their Line Manager. The successful Aircraft Technician will display the following:
Be a time served technician with a recognised apprenticeship or military equivalent with recognised engineering qualification to NVQ Level 3, ONC/HNC/HND standard or equivalent.Previous aerospace experience working on rotary or fixed wing aircraft.Have completed Human Factors Training.Excellent numerical skills with technical ability to read engineering drawings and familiar with imperial and metric measurements. Have excellent interpersonal skills, IT skills, and be able to manage workload in a team environment. On offer for the successful candidate is an hourly rate of £19.00 per hour.
