Position: Test Analyst

Location: London

Salary: £34,000 - £36,000 per annum

Were looking for a customer-focused individual with energy, experience and a strong sense of purpose to join us as a Test Analyst.

You will bring your specialist skills, knowledge and experience of the software testing lifecycle to enhance our IT testing capability ensuring the provision of a high quality testing service to support the delivery of IT projects, system enhancements, upgrades and the continuous improvement program. You will play a key role in developing and monitoring quality assurance standards and measures for IT services including the development of a test strategy, plans and scripts. You will be a proficient across a range of core testing disciplines including unit, integration, functional, system, stress, performance and acceptance testing and be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to continual improvement. Youll work to ensure the delivery of robust, resilient and highly performant IT solutions, maximising the use of testing automation tools where possible.

You will seek to understand fully your customers needs, identifying and working to remove pain points, and always doing what you say you will.

Calm under pressure you will have a methodical and analytical approach, a keen attention to detail and proven experience of gathering and translating complex requirements into test cases and plans. A good communicator with strong interpersonal skills you will work collaboratively with a range of business

stakeholders, product and system owners, Business Analysts, developers throughout the software testing lifecycle. You will also have practical experience of agile/scrum based software development. You will have a good knowledge and awareness of data protection and information security issues

and requirements.

In particular:

o Work with the Project Manager, Business Analysts, Solution Architects, and Developers to

finalise user stories, entry and acceptance criteria, test plans, test scripts, and defect

management approach for IT delivery projects

o Design and create robust test scenarios, test cases and test data sets for use in manual,

exploratory and automated tests

o Develop and enforce quality assurance measures and testing standards for new applications,

products, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout their development/product

lifecycles

o Undertake hands on manual and automated testing of new IT service functionalities and the

changes to ensure integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system

compliance, and technical specifications

o Perform risk based testing, prioritising key business areas for testing in order to accomplish

testing within a defined time frame and also ensure product quality at the same time

o Ensure environments and test data are appropriate prior to starting tests

o Identify product areas that are suitable targets for test automation and design /develop solutions

for automating regression test cases (tools, scripts, frameworks)

o Assist on automation tool selection and implementation

o Work with Test Lead and the project team in monitoring and supervising defects to ensure

quality resolution within the agreed test schedule

o Liaise with developers to ensure efficient turnaround of defects and feedback for product

enhancement via Product Owner

o Collect and analyse data for ensuring software, systems, and product quality

o Apply established metrics to determine the readiness, quality, and operability of software,

systems, and products due for release to clients and/or within the enterprise

o Have an awareness and understanding of requirements for both internal and external audits for

both testing and Quality Assurance

o Communicate test progress, test results, and any identified risks to the Test Lead

o Engage with business stakeholders, Business Analysts and IT to define acceptance criteria into

and out of each user testing phase and obtain UAT sign-off criteria from business

o Work with IT, 3rd party suppliers and business areas to ensure that all dependencies are

delivered in time for user testing as per plan (e.g. test environments with data)

You will have the following Technical Knowledge and Skills:

o Hands on experience of test automated tools like Selenium WebDriver, TestComplete and

infrastructure testing tools like Load Runner/Login VSI etc

o Extensive experience in automation framework creation

o Proven experience in requirement gathering, test preparation and execution for major

application integration and/or major application product release

o Strong knowledge of system testing metrics, best practices and methodologies

o Extensive experience with core software applications, including Microsoft Office 2016, O365

and CRM applications

Job Title: Test Analyst

Role Purpose: You will bring your specialist skills, knowledge and experience of

the software testing lifecycle to enhance our IT testing capability ensuring the

provision of a high quality testing service to support the delivery of IT projects,

system enhancements, upgrades and the continuous improvement program.

o Experience of testing cloud/hosted services

o Experience with Housing Association specific applications such as Orchard, ProMaster will be

an advantage

o Proven data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving abilities

o Experience with statistical reporting and analysis

o Hands-on experience of defect management tools (e.g. JIRA).

o Mobile Automation tool experience(desirable)

o Experience with infrastructure, network and VDI testing tools (desirable)
