This is an exciting opportunity to join a new design centre in Edinburgh as the Chief Database Developer. We are looking for an Chief Engineer with experience in database engine research or development. The successful candidate will have at least participated in the implementation of a database product. The role will involve leading the project, building a development team from scratch as well as remaining hands on.

Key Responsibilities:

* Build and lead the database team in a new Edinburgh design centre

* Be involved in the strategy and business plan for future database technologies

* Work in collaboration with the University of Edinburgh in graph database and relation database areas. Transferring the results from academia to industry

To be considered for this role you must have the following:

* Experience in database research or development

* Participated in at least one database development or open source project as a core member

* Team management experience
