DevOps Engineer / Platform Engineer (Linux Python Docker Kubernetes CI/CD). The UK's leading online financial derivatives trading site is seeking a technologist DevOps Engineer to join the team responsible for building performance and reliability into the core trading platform; enabling development teams to deliver a high performance software that is reliable, low latency and high throughput.

As a DevOps Engineer you'll work closely with development teams prior to services going live; engaging in system design consulting; development of libraries / services, introducing standardisation; capacity planning and launch reviews. Once systems are live you will ensure they have the monitoring and alerting tools required and that they are scalable via automation.

Requirements:

*Ability to design and implement highly available and distributed systems

*Experience with System monitoring and instrumentation (e.g. Nagios, Influx, Prometheus)

*Good scripting skills (e.g. Python, Ruby, Go, bash)

*Good understanding on containers and orchestrators (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)

*Understanding of core networking concepts, including TCP/IP, LAN/WAN protocols and datacentre architectures

*Analytical mindset with strong logic and problem solving skills

*Collaborative team member with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
