Role: Network Engineer

Duration: 3 Months

Location: Northampton

* Cisco Networking:

* Configure and troubleshoot network traffic

* Analyse networks and troubleshoot network bugs

* Upgrade software on routers, switches, firewalls and load balancers

* Good understanding on Nexus/Fex technology (For DataCentres)

* Layer 2 technologies (VLAN, CDP,LLDP, trunking, Etherchannel, Spanning-Tree)

* Layer 3 technologies (IPv4/IPv6 addressing and subnetting, multicast, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, Static Routing, VRF etc)

* VPN technologies (MPLS, IPVPN, IPsec, GRE)

* Good understanding of Cloud connectivity solutions (AWS, Azure)

* Good understanding of QoS configuration & troubleshooting

* Access control management, TACACS+ and understanding of complex policies

* Cisco Wireless [traditional (WCS) and Meraki Cloud based solutions]

* Good understanding of managing Cisco ISE

* Working with ISP and multiple 3rd party vendors

* VPN (Cisco / Checkpoint):

* Patching/upgrades

* Advanced Troubleshooting

* SITE to SITE VPN, IPVPN

* Configuration / Integration

Checkpoint:

* Managing the Firewall Rule Base

* SITE to SITE VPN, IPVPN

* Defining & Managing multiple security zones (Primary, DMZ etc.)

* Addition and deletion security policy

* High end troubleshooting

* IOS upgrade & patching

* F5 & Brocade Load Balancers:

* Understanding IPVIP, Architecture Concepts

* IP Transparency and Traffic Manager

* Addition and Deletion of new virtual services, scheduling method etc.

Cisco Networking:

* LACP, vPC, port channel concepts

* Good understanding of Cloud connectivity solutions (AWS, Azure)

* Good understanding of QoS configuration & troubleshooting

* Access control management, TACACS+ and understanding of complex policies

* Cisco Wireless [traditional (WCS) and Meraki Cloud based solutions] will be an added advantage

* Working with ISP and multiple 3rd party vendors

* VPN (Fortinet/Cisco/Checkpoint):

* Troubleshooting

* Configuration / Integration

* Fortigate Firewall/Cisco/Checkpoint:

* Managing the Firewall Rule Base/Policy

* SITE to SITE VPN, IPVPN

* Defining & Managing multiple security zones (Primary, DMZ etc)

* Addition/deletion & modifying security policy

* L2/L3 troubleshooting

* IOS upgrade & patching

* Working knowledge on F5/Citrix Netscaler or any otherLoad Balancers

* Good understanding on Nexus OS concepts or good experience in cisco routers/switches.
