Data Architect - 3 months - Milton Keynes

Financial services client is looking for an experienced Data Architect required to structure how data should be managed in my clients big data ecosystem for both the data lake and enterprise data warehouse.

- Guide, advise, propose and govern the design of different data products so product teams can become self-reliant.

- This requires the ability to recognise, create, adopt and formalise standards, patterns and best practices around data architecture.

- Architecting solutions for the big data platform. Enabling and creating a new data architecture capability with best practice and utilising industry standards.

- Advising, mentoring and guiding product teams on creating solutions for the Enterprise Data Warehouse.

Experience/ Skills Required:

- A solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, designs and utilisation.

- Experience of modelling in big data platforms and the implementation considerations for physical modelling in different database technologies (relational, NoSql etc.).

- Certification and/or deep knowledge of at least one architecture framework e.g. TOGAF, Archimate, Zachman, DODAF etc. and how they can be implemented

- Kimball Data Modelling

- PowerDesigner

- Relational Data Modelling

- Sparx Enterprise Architect
