Data and Voice Network Systems Engineer

6-Month Contract Initially

Our client is an extremely well-run International Bank, with EMEA HQ in London. We are an established and trusted recruitment partner to this global banking group. We have been asked to assist with the recruitment of a Data and Voice Network Systems Engineer (SME) to work on BAU and project-based workloads covering the ongoing maintenance, administration and large-scale technical change of the organizations EMEA voice and data network systems.

The systems experience necessary is spread across Cisco, Checkpoint and Palo Alto but an understanding of additional similar product suites will be desirable.

This role is to work in an international transactional bank focusing in on their EMEA voice network and Data systems and therefore an understanding of large scale, international focused voice network systems will be key.

Role Overview

Installing and maintaining Call Management and voicemail systems - Cisco Unified Call Manager

Firewalls - Cisco, Palo Alto, CheckPoint

Routing and Switches to include - Layer 3 Path Control, IPv4 redistribution, EIGRP based solutions, OSPF, BGP, Layer 2 switching, VLAN's, Multicast

Incident Management - troubleshooting

Administration - including creation of network voice diagrams and documentation

VoIP systems - Cisco

ARC Server Solutions

Automatic call distribution systems - UCCX

Maintaining and monitoring network performance

Troubleshooting a multi-protocol system network

NX OS

Anyone who holds some of the following certifications will be highly desirable - CCVP, CCNP, CISSP, ITIL or COBIT.

Rate - up to £525 per day

6 months' initial term - strong chances for multiple renewals

This role will include shift work and occasional weekend work.
