Enigma People Solutions is excited to be recruiting a Principal Control System Design Engineer for an outstanding organisation that has the ambition to change the world. Developing proven and new technology our client is building a new team in Edinburgh that will optimise and commercialise an innovation set to change existing electricity grid architecture.

Reporting to the VP Innovation UK you will have lead responsibility for control systems design aligned with our product road map.

Are qualified to MSc or PhD level, with 10 or more years' experience.

Have substantial experience of classical and modern control design (SISO and MIMO), digital implementation, stability analysis, graphical design methods and vector control methods.

Have excellent working knowledge of phase lock loops, phase advance network, loop shaping, adaptive & self-tuning methods, etc.

Have demonstrable experience with analogue and digital filters, and power electronics, ideally within the context of power transmission systems.

Have excellent communication skills, with the ability to bring others together and facilitate collaborative working.
