This is an exciting opportunity to join the digital team at my client to work on development of recruitment websites and assessment tools for clients.

The role exists as part of a team who develop support, and maintain client websites and in-house technology. The Front End Developer collaborates with teams by providing technical expertise during the specification phase of client

projects, including time estimates based on provided designs.

During the build phase, the Developer will build the front end for the web pages, working closely with the Backend Developer to complete all projects. That line is a little blurred though, so wed expect the individual in this role to pick up a bit of back end skill. It may suit someone who wants to become full stack but that wouldn't be essential.

Responsibilities:

The role will include:

*To turn bold creative ideas into practical and innovative web designs, app development ideas

*To develop new and existing technology applications as required by the Web Team Manager to an agreed quality standards and within agreed project timescales.

*Work closely with the backend developer to ensure all builds are set up correctly and built to a high standard. Working collaboratively to problem solve and utilise new technologies and design standards. You will also be working with third party suppliers to ensure website development is delivered to a high standard.

*Research and test new front end technologies in order to provide modern solutions for client applications and websites.

*Work within Umbraco CMS as our primary tool to build client websites.

*To supporting Client Partners and Project Managers with build estimates and design input

Essential technical skills:

*Knowledge of front end web development principles

*Knowledge of responsive development principles and standards

*HTML5

*CSS3 (including preprocessors such as LESS and SASS/SCSS)

*Bootstrap

*JavaScript and jQuery

*Adobe CC (Photoshop and Illustrator)

*Awareness of web accessibility standards

*Ability to deal with cross browser compatibility issues

*Web security principles

*Sketch / Innvision

Desirable:

*ES6

*JavaScript build tools (Webpack, NPM, gulp)

*ReactJS

*Experience working with .NET backend

*Experience with Umbraco CMS

*React
