We have an excellent opportunity for an IT Support Engineer to join our client!

Our client are a software company who create innovative digital platforms and websites for clients across the UK and have a new opening within their team for a IT Support Engineer. The new IT support role has come about to the continued success of the company and subsequent growth of the support function. Based in a beautiful office setting in the south of Oxfordshire the IT Support Engineer will join a friendly and supportive IT team. The IT Support Engineer will also receive training and exposure to new and exciting technologies!

The IT Support Engineer (1st / 2nd Line ) play a vital part in providing quality technical support and customer service to valued customers on a daily basis. The IT Support Engineer will have the chance to work with the following:

Windows Server environments

Active Directory;

Microsoft Exchange;

Querying databases using SQL and report writing;

Telephone system support;

Desktop/Laptop/Mobiles/Tablet/Printer support;

Antivirus/antimalware;

Cisco/networking experience;

DNS and TCP/IP.

Required skills/experience for the IT Support Engineer role:

Some commercial IT Support experience (Internal IT or outsource IT Support) doing more than desktop support

Customer service and support

Good desktop support skills

Basic Knowledge (Can do basic administration)

Basic knowledge of servers (Active Directory and Windows server rolls and features)

Basic knowledge of networking and troubleshooting.

My client are based in between Didcot and Wallingford and is commutable from the majority of Oxfordshire including; Abingdon, Bicester, Banbury, and Witney. It is also easily commutable from parts of Wiltshire including Swindon and also Buckinghamshire (including High Wycombe, Buckingham, Aylesbury and Thame) among many other locations in surrounding counties.

This new position is ideal for existing IT Support Analysts and also those looking to break into the industry. Other suitable candidates may include; ICT Technicians, Helpdesk Engineers, 1^st Line Support Analysts, Desktop Support and many others!
