We are looking to speak with highly talented Python Developers / Software Engineers to join a fantastic new opportunity with our Reading based Cyber Security client. This a challenging Python Developer / Software Engineer position that will see the successful Python Developer / Software Engineer working in an Research and Development (R&D) type role developing software and fixing issues far off the beaten track!

The Python Developer / Software Engineer will be tasked with being a part of the development of cutting-edge cybersecurity software. With the current drive for cybersecurity to be implemented further, the Python Developer / Software Engineer will also be able to be a part of this collaborative and challenging process whilst contributing to a real life demand. In this Python Developer / Software Engineer role, you will be using a challenging technology stack including Python, Ruby, Docker, and PostgreSQL and will also have the opportunity to learn a range of new technologies and skills such as security automation and forward proxies.

The Python Developer / Software Engineer  ideally will share the values of fostering a culture of testing and Test Driven Development (TDD) within the company, starting from zero as well as balancing management of technical debt with developing features that would ensure a greater uptake of the product.

The Python Developer will ideally have experience in:

Python - in-depth knowledge and experience needed

Knowledge of Ruby on Rails (RoR)

Ansible, Docker

PostgreSQL

Proxies

Test-driven development (TDD)

Database optimization

Agile development

Based near Reading my clients offices are commutable from Newbury, Theale, Oxford, Henley, Aylesbury, High Wycombe, Bracknell, Basingstoke, Wokingham, Woking, Maidenhead and many other around the Thames Valley area.
