We are seeking to engage with bright graduates regarding a fantastic new opportunity for a Graduate Software Tester for our client in the Oxford area.
The Graduate Software Tester will be involved in all aspects of testing throughout the project lifecycle, from initial development testing through to final acceptance. The ideal Graduate Software Tester will have strong knowledge of testing and software, a relevant degree and excellent communications skills. The professional and collaborative environment allows for many opportunities to progress and work on several different areas/stages of software testing.
The client is a highly motivated and award-winning Software & Data Consultancy who are expanding their testing team following a period of sustained success. The position of Graduate Software Tester is an excellent chance for graduate who is passionate about technology and keen to work on exciting projects for reputable STEM clients.
Responsibilities of the Graduate Software Tester will include:
Working with the Test Manager, Project Managers and Tech Leads to produce test plans
Reviewing applications against requirements during development to confirm that all requirements have been met
Collaborating with developers to ensure that test scripts are adequate and appropriate.
Advising developers on automated scripts and helping generate them
Performing system and regression testing of applications before they are released to clients
This is an exciting opportunity to be involved with many of different projects in industries such as energy, pharmaceuticals and even space exploration. You will further your own skills and experience by gaining exposure to the wide variety of clients and there may be opportunities to travel around their UK and European offices to support project teams directly.
If you are interested in joining my client as a Junior Test Engineer, you should have the following:
Degree in a technical subject, e.g. computer science, science, maths, engineering.
Knowledge of project-based software testing
Good interpersonal skills in order to tactfully handle interactions with developers about bugs Ability to work independently on several projects at once
Experience in performance/load testing, non-functional testing or security testing is also desirable
