I am recruiting an Interim Fund Accountant for a progressive Real Estate firm based in the City. My client is looking for an experienced financial professional to be part of their Fund Accounting team, and to bring a fresh dynamic to the pre-existing team. They are looking for a bright accountant that can provide both technical skills and commercial awareness to the role in order to improve process and efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

* Preparing interim, annual financial statements and board papers.

* Review set up of trial balances.

* Review of monthly IFRS trial balances.

* Review of reconciliations between Client Fund level trial balances and Client Fund Group level trial balance.

* Liaise with Project team to ensure that the trial balances meet the requirements.

Requirements and Experience

This role is ideally suited to someone who can demonstrate:

Experience:

Candidate will demonstrate the following:

* Experience in Investment Management, specifically within the context of Real Estate

* Sound knowledge of accounting (UK GAAP & IFRS), together with broad experience of the industry

* Preferably, but not essentially, experience of Yardi

* Excellent attention to detail, effective analytical and problem-solving skills

* A flexible and adaptable approach

* Good planning and organisational skills

* Ability to work under pressure and manage tight internal and client deadlines

* Must be able to demonstrate initiative and to manage their own workload
